BLURB
Now that the ley lines around Cabeswater have been woken, nothing for Ronan, Gansey, Blue, and Adam will be the same. Ronan, for one, is falling more and more deeply into his dreams, and his dreams are intruding more and more into waking life. Meanwhile, some very sinister people are looking for some of the same pieces of the Cabeswater puzzle that Gansey is after… (add on goodreads)
THOUGHTS
I am taking a mental note of not delaying to read sequels in a series. I had a tough time remembering what happened towards the end of the first book. I am lazy enough to pick the book up from my shelves and go through the last few chapters. So, I decided to read a lot of materials on the internet to understand what happened, because the only thing I remembered was Neeve pulling a nasty game and disappearing. But, anyhoo… here we are! Finished the second book and immediately pulled the third one from the shelves because I did not want to miss out on the fun.

This book also did not get me any close to Glendower. However, the plot took a little detour to make us aware of what happened with Ronan’s family. And, every single thing happened in the background of Ronan’s life. Glendower was not the main thing in this book neither was Gansey. There were a lot of new characters introduced and I absolutely did not like any of them. The book was again going round and round on things and we did not get any close to solving the mystery. However, it did justify the title of the book, and also made us aware that Cabeswater was a fragment of someone’s dream. I think all these lil strings will get tied in the book 4.
Coming to the characters, I remember hating Ronan to my very core in the first book… but here, I fell in love with him. This book was Ronan’s book and Maggie explained every secret of Lynch Household which was really fun to read about. I absolutely enjoyed knowing about Ronan’s power as a Greywaren and how he used it and was scared of it. I missed Noah a lot during some parts, because Ronan and Noah’s banter was something I looking forward to. (**Spoiler ahead**) Anndddd, we got Gansey and Blue falling a lil more for each other… what an other worldly experience was that. Blue confessing and Gansey calling Blue and being all needy/clingy.. I loved that sooo much. Their banter was everything in this book. Also… Blue and Gansey blushed here?? What is happening in the world of Henriatta? I did not like Adam in this book at all. He was one of my favorites in book 1. And, Maggie introduced a new character Kavinsky.. & I hated him. Why in the world will you introduce such a cringe character just to kill him in the end? Also, the things he did.. ugh! I wanted to get into the book and slap him.
The ending was a bit rushed, slow and confusing? Well, I wont be able to sleep until you tell me about Glendower and (**spoiler**) bring Maura back. Also… explain what exactly is happening!
